Happy Birthday to ME!

28 years old. 28! 28! Man that just sounds so much older than 27 to me. I have never been one to feel like I was getting old, or be anxious about turning another year older. I honestly still couldn't care less, 28 just sounds old. Before I know it I will be 30, and I remember when I was a teenager and 30 seemed so old to me! I don't feel old at all. Anyways...I feel good things coming my way this year. I have so many things I want to work and do this year. I have decided that instead of having New Years resolutions this year I am going to have 'Birthday Resolutions' (because that's MY new year right? Or maybe I'm just running a little late as per usual.) But those deserve their own post. So onto my Birthday festivities this year....

We did my favorite (and annual) dinner, then dancing at Metro on Thursday the 9th. This year we went to Happy Sumo for dinner which was delicious. Then we went to Club Metro for some dancing. This year, instead of Scotty staying home with the babes, we got a sitter (Thanks Maddie!) and he came out with us as did a few of the other guys. We had a blast. (At least I did.)

We made a friend. It's cool that he's about 80!

Pretty sure these ladies made his night.

DJ Jeff hooked us up. (As always!) He's our go to guy. Our wedding. Anniversary's. And  my last 3 birthdays. He's always there playing awesome music and treating us like gold.

Besties.

Birthday cake on Friday (actual birthday)

I love how Jaxon already has his fork ready!

The next day was great. Scotty woke up and took care of the kids letting me sleep in. Then brought me breakfast in bed. And not just any breakfast, he made me ebelskivers. That afternoon Whitney took me to lunch which was fabulous. While Scotty and the kids napped I went to Fashion Place Mall to shop. That evening Scotty had pre-arranged a babysitter and we got to go out again. We went up to Salt Lake to our friends Blake and Alissa's housewarming party. Then went to Famous Dave's for some delicious BBQ. After dinner he took me to see the Vow. Then we came home and had cake with the kids. It was a marvelous birthday celebration. I am a very lucky girl!

Deer Valley. January 2012

My awesome Aunt & Uncle came up to Deer Valley from California again this year and invited us to join them. We loved spending time with them, my cousins, parents, brothers and future sis. Scotty and I didn't ski this year, just hung out with the babes and Hadley joined us. We celebrated my Step-Dad's birthday while we were there, enjoyed shopping at the outlets, took in the sights of Sundance, almost died a bazillion times driving in the crazy blizzard, and missed the Sundance screening we had tickets to due to said blizzard. I thought Our car was amazing. With all wheel drive and awesome tires we have NEVER slid in the snow here. Until this trip. We were ALL over the place. Luckily the kids thought it was fun because momma was FREAKED out! We left our condo 3 hours before we needed to be at the screening, and after 2 and a half hours, and only 10 miles later we accepted the fact that we weren't going to make it and decided to turn around. We stopped at the outlets before going back up the mountain because I needed out of the car. Almost 3 hours of white-knuckle driving really gets to me apparently. And we came out with some AMAZING deals. Anyways... my camera died the first night, but we were able to snap a couple pictures mainly on my phone so excuse the blurriness:
